Show & Tell -- New Glasses

I have had the same glasses since Pete & Re-Pete were babies. I remember clearly picking them out as it was one of my first outings with three children. I was by myself trying to carry two baby carriers along with getting my 2 1/2 year old to follow along. Oh, those were the days.

Anyway, I usually wear my contacts, at least when in public, and so it didn't matter much if I had new glasses. This time when my prescription changed I decided after 6 years it was time for a new pair of glasses and I planned on wearing them more frequently seeing as the contacts are disposable and more costly than I had thought. So, I have new glasses and am enjoying wearing them and will now wear contacts only periodically (that's the plan for now).

Pete took this picture of me at the pumpkin farm. If I have my hair "poofed" enough when pulling it back, some say I look like Sarah Palin. :)

I really like your new glasses. I have a pair that is very similar.

With more poofy hair I could see the likeness between you and Sarah Pallin.

You look good in those glasses! My 11 year old just got his first pair of glasses last week (just for reading and doing schoolwork). It seems to be helping him better. Have a good weekend!

They look fantastic on you! And yes, I could definitely see the Sarah Palin resemblance. I've been hearing the same thing about myself (though I don't see it...) Happy Weekend!

I love your new glasses!

I quit wearing my contacts almost 2 yrs ago. I really don't miss them. I tried to wear them for a couple of weeks this year and just couldn't get back into the swing of it, but we're saving a lot of money this way.

Those are very nice glasses and they look good on you. But the most amazing thing is that you had your original pair for so long! That tells me a lot about you - your very organized. Am I right? And I'm going to go farther and guess that your house is as neat as a pin (most of the time.) Am I right? Everything has a place.

If you answered to yes to the above, we are opposites. I lose glasses every other minute. Thankfully, it's the reading ones, and they don't cost that much.

The picture of you and your baby in front of the big red barn is really cute.

I love your glasses. My prescription also changed but I haven't been able to afford new ones yet. I could probably do it if I kept these frames but I want new ones. I love my disposable contacts but I don't wear them every day, especially days I will be home all day.

I also enjoyed reading about the race awards (Congratulations!) and also the ladies tea. What a sweet time!

My sister was going to wear my dress altered but it didn't fit and unfortunately the seamstress was a friend who ran out of time to resew it. I am holding on to it though and hope that maybe one of my girls might be able to use it. It appears that Mary will be short like me. We'll see. Whatever she wants.

I cannot believe your little man is a year old! Time does fly! Glad you are all well!

Blessings, Eva
